Why These Rules Matter on Omega Realm
These rules exist to protect the integrity, safety, and fairness of the Omega Realm community. In a competitive Minecraft environment—especially Prison—small disruptions can quickly damage the player experience. If you are caught breaking any rules on any platform (Discord, Forums, or our Minecraft Server), you will be punished!
Threats & Personal Safety
Threats, doxing, harassment, malicious links, or blackmail are serious violations because they go beyond the game. A Minecraft server should never put someone’s personal safety at risk.
These rules protect player privacy, prevent real-world harm, and maintain a safe online environment.
Punishment: Immediate Temporary Ban → Permanent Ban
Revealing Personal Information (Doxing)
Revealing personal information is sharing private or sensitive details about yourself or another player without consent.
- Real names, home addresses, phone numbers, or emails
- School or workplace information
- Social media accounts (without consent) or IP addresses
- Attempting to threaten, intimidate, or scare someone by claiming to have their information
Punishment: Immediate Temporary Ban → Permanent Ban
Unfair Advantages
Disallowed mods, macros, bug abuse, scripting, boosting, and punishment evasion damage competitive balance.
Omega Realm is built on grinding, economy, and progression. If players exploit, the economy becomes unstable, legitimate players are discouraged, and competition loses meaning.
Account & Game Abuse
Account sharing, selling, cross-teaming, griefing, and encouraging rule-breaking undermine accountability. Each player should be responsible for their own account and actions.
Punishment: Ban based on severity
Game Trading, Gambling & Scamming
Scamming occurs when a player intentionally deceives or misleads another player to gain items, currency, accounts, or any in-game advantage unfairly.
- Fake trades or deals
- Charging for services/items without delivering them
- Selling or trading accounts
- Selling or trading in-game items, currency, or services on third-party websites
- Gambling, casinos, or external game trading platforms not approved by the server
By restricting third-party trading and unauthorized transactions, Omega Realm protects its in-game economy, prevents scams, and stops pay-to-win environments.
Punishment: Temp Ban → Extended Ban → Permanent Ban
Giveaways
Unapproved giveaways often lead to scams, false advertising, and manipulation. Restricting them prevents fraud, protects players from being misled, and keeps promotions fair.
Advertising is strictly prohibited. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Other Minecraft servers
- Third-party websites
- Discord servers, tags, or invites
- Social media accounts
- YouTube/Twitch channels (without permission)
Advertising takes attention away from the server, promotes competitors, and can expose players to scams or unsafe links. It also disrupts the in-game experience.
Punishment: 20m Mute → Permanent Ban
Chat Abuse & Spamming
Chat should remain welcoming, readable, and safe. Toxic or spam-filled chat ruins the experience for others and drives players away.
- Abusive, toxic language, or inappropriate jokes
- Misleading or false information
- Character Spam (e.g., aaaaaaaaa) or Command Spam (e.g., /afk repeatedly)
- Excessive caps or disruptive behavior
Punishment: Warn → 15m → 1h → 3h → 12h → Perm Mute
Toxicity & Bullying
Toxicity is any behavior intended to insult, provoke, harass, or negatively target another player or group.
- Direct insults, name-calling, or degrading remarks
- Harassment or repeated targeting of a player
- Provoking arguments intentionally
- Encouraging others to gang up on someone
Note: Competitive banter is allowed — harassment is not.
Punishment: Warn → Mute Ladder → Temp or Perm Ban
Racism
Racism includes any language, behavior, or content that targets a person or group based on race, ethnicity, nationality, or cultural background.
Racism creates a hostile and unsafe environment. Minecraft servers are global communities, and every player deserves respect. Intent does not excuse the behavior.
Punishment: Immediate Temporary Ban → Permanent Ban
Impersonation
Impersonation is pretending to be another player, staff member, or official representative of the server.
- Claiming to be staff, admin, owner, or developer
- Pretending to be another player’s alt account
- Changing nicknames to mimic staff or players
Punishment: Immediate Temporary Ban
Requesting OP or Staff Privileges
Players are not allowed to ask or pressure staff for OP (operator) status, admin powers, or any staff privileges.
Punishment: Warning → Mute → Temporary Ban
Inappropriate Usernames & Skins
Skins, capes, usernames, builds, guild content, and item names must remain appropriate because they are visible to the entire community.
- Sexual, explicit, or suggestive content
- Racist or hateful symbols/terms
- References to drugs, violence, or illegal activities
Punishment: Warning to Change → Kick → Ban
Modifications & Hacking
Modifications and hacking involve using software, tools, or techniques that give a player an unfair advantage over others or disrupt server gameplay.
Punishment: Immediate Temp Ban → Permanent Ban
